Applications for VTS Tuning Dots

Black , White , and Green designations represent three unique formulations for the 2mm thru 6mm VTS Tuning Dots. Do not substitute a different Dot formulation from that specified in the following applications.

VTS TUNING DOT APPLICATIONS FOR SPEAKER

Cabinet Tuning 40mm 8-Layer Super Dot
Cabinet Tuning 40mm VTS Dots, Series II
• Speaker cabinets, on rear: 1 tuning dot 1″ from each corner
• Speaker cabinets, on sides: 1 tuning dot 1″ from each corner

Black 6mm VTS Tuning Dots :
• Speaker binding posts: 4 tuning dots on cabinet around each pair of posts

White 3mm VTS Tuning Dots :
• Dome midrange flanges: 1 – 4 tuning dots, see speaker drawing
• Dome tweeter flanges 1 – 4 tuning dots, see speaker drawing

Green 3mm VTS Tuning Dots :
• Speaker cones: 1 – 6 dots per cone, see speaker drawing

VTS Driver Tuning Bands :
• Speaker drivers: 1 set bands per driver, rear of driver basket, see speaker drawing

VTS TUNING DOTS FOR ELECTRONICS

White 2mm VTS Tuning Dots :
• ALL solid state devices: integrated circuits, voltage regulators, digital chips, 1 dot per device
• Output transistors: 1 tuning dot (please degrease transistor first)
• Rectangular resistors (Vishay, Caddock, etc.) 1 tuning dot per device.
• Medium size octal base vacuum tubes –- tip of key pin: 1 tuning dot per tube
• 9 pin miniature vacuum tubes –- centered on bottom: 1 tuning dot per tube

Green 2mm VTS Tuning Dots :
• Top of all sizes electrolytic capacitors: 1 tuning dot per capacitor

Black 6mm VTS Tuning Dots :
• Electronic equipment faceplates: 1 tuning dot in each corner on back surface

White 4mm VTS Tuning Dots :
• Large octal base vacuum tubes –- tip of key pin: 1 tuning dot per tube
• Circuit boards: 1 – 4 tuning dots in corners
NOTE: Do NOT add board dots if applying dot treatment to all applicable circuit devices.
• Volume & balance controls: 1 tuning dot on back

VTS TUNING TREATMENT FOR TURNTABLES

3mm White VTS Tuning Dots
• Phono cartridge: 1 tuning dot on front face of cartridge

2mm Green VTS Tuning Dots
• Tonearm finger lift: 2 tuning dots, one on upper and lower surface

3mm Green VTS Tuning Dots
• Tonearm tube: 2 tuning dots, one on upper and lower surface

6mm Black VTS Tuning Dots
• Turntable record clamp: 3 tuning dots around clamp perimeter
• Tonearm counterweight: 3 tuning dots around counterweight perimeter
